Nicole Zwick-Kozup is a graduate student in Mark Hayes' lab:

ASU provides great opportunities and a challenging environment, but at the same time makes me feel at home.

Chemistry in a Microenvironment
Professor Mark Hayes has been developing microfluidic analytical devices for a variety of applications, including blood purification and analysis. The picture shows a flowing device that effectively separates blood plasma, and that operates using no external power source! The scale of the device is illustrated by the conventional staple at the bottom.
