Yana Bukhman is a graduate student in Petra Fromme's lab:

ASU has first class researchers, learning and research here is fun! You can't turn around without seeing and learning something new.

Complex Protein Crystal Structure
Membrane-bound proteins regulate the most important processes in living cells, and elucidation of their structure represents a crucial step in understanding their function. ASU Professor Petra Fromme has recently obtained the X-Ray crystal structure of the bacterial Trimeric Photosystem I protein complex shown in the picture. This immense system has a molecular mass of over a million, and represents one of the most complex crystal structures ever obtained.
