As alumni of Chemistry and Biochemistry, you are an important part of our community. We would like to know where you are and what you are doing, your achievements and stories after graduating from ASU. No newsletter would be complete without a request for support. Volunteers would be most welcome to help tutor in our Learning and Resource Center. Also as mentioned in our outreach section of this newsletter, help with our High School Affiliates Program, to ensure students a smooth transition from school to college would be greatly appreciated.

Some ongoing projects in the department are:

• Named awards and scholarships for our undergraduate as well as graduate students
• Improvement of our Educational Facilities including the Freshman Tutorial Lab and Learning and Resource Center (LRC)
• Creating an Undergraduate Advising Center
• Augmentation of Research Facilities
