Marie Lawrence, Manager of Administrative Services

Marie was born and raised in New York City, where she received her bachelor of arts in psychology (minor in accounting) from the City University of New York, College of Staten Island. She came to Arizona and ASU in April 2000. She has had successful careers at the Barrett Honors College, W.P. Carey School of Business, former Mary Lou Fulton College of Education and the School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences before coming to the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. She earned her first M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction (Early Childhood Education) and is currently taking a hiatus from a second M.Ed. in Collaboration and Consultation (Autism). She and her husband, Ken, enjoy going to the beach, theatre and travelling.

Ziva Lackof, Academic Financial Spec Sr

Ziva Lackoff was born in Chicago, Illinois and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Northeastern Illinois University. She met her husband Don in Chicago, got married and moved to Arizona. Ziva and Don love to travel, swim, go to the theater and entertain. Ziva came to ASU in October 2000 and has worked for the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education as a temporary employee and loved it so much she got a permanent position. When the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education was disestablished, Ziva went to work for School of Social Transformation/First Thing First External Evaluation and Compugirls projects.

Jennifer Nelson, Academic Specialist (Undergraduate Advisor)

Jennifer Nelson is an Academic Specialist for the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. She assists students with academic issues and curriculum choices.
She also provides support to help students achieve success with their academic goals. Nelson has advised undergraduate students for 20 years. Prior to coming to ASU
she worked with exploratory students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. She is an active member of the National Academic
Advising Association (NACADA) organization.

Nelson earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Kansas State University.
